Here it happened that we encountered the most peculiar - yes, I can't even describe whether it is an animal or a plant - being that has probably ever been seen.

The algor mushroom is a luminescent fungus that is often found in deep caves. Thus, it emits a difuse yellowish light, illuminating its surroundings. The algor mushroom develops its luminescence from a height of about 5 fingers, but specimens of 3 paces have also been reportedly seen. So far, there are no statements about the toxicity or taste of an algor mushroom, as it is widely regarded as sacred and algorgeous.

This tree species is typical for the steppes of Tirakan. The blood tree is a broad-stemmed solitary tree with a height of up to 5 threads and small, fleshy leaves. Furthermore, it is recognizable by its dark red bark, its wood has a light red color. If one eats of the bark of the blood tree, it causes the pupil to swell and the iris to turn purple. Many people find this disgusting, but others like this color change of the eyes. At least it is worthwhile for steppe inhabitants to peel the blood tree and sell the bark at the next traveling merchant.

The troll cherry is a berry-bearing shrub found in almost all Tirakan lands. The fruits are red to black in color and have a petrifying effect on human and elven beings for several days. Strangely enough, they do not affect dwarves at all. Trolls, however, get into a slight pleasant intoxication, which is why they are particularly eager for these fruits.

This strange mushroom grows in groups in the coastal waters of Northern Yadosia. It is shaped like a land mushroom, hand-sized and brownish yellow in color.

This species of tulip is found mainly in the Gasdarian pastures or within the lands of Yadosia. Its faint magical aura gives the plant a shimmering glow each full moon night. The plant can be used as a focus and magic store and carries 2 arcana/plant each.

The sleeping puffball, which can be found everywhere on the meadows and steppes of Tirakan, reaches a size of almost 40 fingers. It is pale yellow in color, and the spores that it shoots when you are shaken, if inhaled, cause you to fall asleep. In the ripening period of the sleeping bovine, one can often see farmers lying peacefully slumbering in the pastures.

This brownish mushroom variety grows close to the ground in swampy areas of Lizard Island. When burned, they give off a soothing, sweet scent. They are used, in part, in lizard ritual acts. Other gifted people are said to have experimented with them as well, but this variety of mushroom grows only on Lizard Isle and cannot be cultivated elsewhere, making it a rarity on Tirakan.

Nural tree is a tree that grows only in places with medium to strong magic, and accordingly is an indication of magical places. Nural trees look like lime trees, except that the underside of their leaves shimmer slightly light blue.

Mistletoe is a hardy plant that only really becomes visible in the winter months when the trees on which it grows have lost their foliage. It grows in spherical 'bushes' on various types of trees and takes nutrients and water from them. However, it can also grow on the ground.

Catweed is found mostly in the cold regions of the north, but also grows on the islands of Asgoran and in the steppes of Meridian. It is a flat, slightly bluish plant with five-fingered leaves and is smoked in a pipe and boiled as a mild intoxicant. While Asgoran has a bountiful export of the herb, importation is prohibited in Toran.

The Herbarin bush is found all over Tirakan, but most densely near the Rock Sea. The shrub forms a few single thin pale gray branches with single thin lancet-shaped bluish leaves. The small trifoliate white flowers are formed in spring and towards autumn the blue-grey one-finger diameter round herbarin berries are ripe.

The fire puffball, which is occasionally found in dry cow pastures, is difficult to distinguish from a normal puffball. However, as it matures, its skin takes on a reddish tinge. Just like other bovists, the fire bovist shoots its spores when shocked. However, its spores ignite in fresh air, which results in the fire bovist exploding in a cloud of flames, spreading its spores over a larger area.

Chronar's Thorn is a low-growing thorny plant with broad one-finger-long leaves, usually found on sparse rocky slopes. Its thin, branched, gnarled branches are peppered with silvery thorns up to 8 fingers long that make crossing a thread of scrub a pure agony (One wound per thread of scrub when crossing).

Awakened plants gifted with the powers of intelligence and mobility, blights plague lands tainted by darkness. Drinking the darkness from the soil, a blight carries out the will of an ancient evil and seeks to spread that evil wherever it can.
