Flaming Puffball

The fire puffball, which is occasionally found in dry cow pastures, is difficult to distinguish from a normal puffball. However, as it matures, its skin takes on a reddish tinge. Just like other bovists, the fire bovist shoots its spores when shocked. However, its spores ignite in fresh air, which results in the fire bovist exploding in a cloud of flames, spreading its spores over a larger area.
