In most areas mistletoe is considered an important magical plant, harvested by the druids with golden sickles and not allowed to fall to the ground, otherwise it would lose its special effect. It is used fresh or dried in various potions, teas, ointments and rituals. It is also said that a kiss under a freshly hung mistletoe leads to eternal love of the lovers. This is superstition, but mistletoe is still a component of various love potions and spells.
