Although some realms, such as Meridian, have their own currencies and units of measurement, most regions of Tirakan have standardised measurements. Coins and ingots are accepted everywhere.

Although some realms, such as Meridian, have their own currencies and units of measurement, most regions of Tirakan have standardised measurements. Coins and ingots are accepted everywhere.

The names of the months have also become established in many countries. However, there are also different names and even calendars, e.g. the Elves do not calculate in months. Dwarves, Orcs and Gnomes also have different calendars. As some of these even differ from place to place, there are no limits to the GM's creativity.

Instead of thread, the term step is often used for this unit. Historically, the thread was used to indicate height, but this usage is becoming more common.
