The mage academy Stormrock in Yadosia is by reputation the best academy in Yadosia. The round grey granite tower rises proudly into the sky from the edge of the cliff. The academy is situated on the edge of the cliff and is surrounded on one side by the Rock Sea, and on the other by the city of Stormrock. The town, whose harbour is a good hundred metres below it, is also situated on the cliff and formed from the local farmers and craftsmen who supplied the academy.
As time went by and the academy grew, the village also grew and slowly developed into a town. The town is still subordinate to the academy, which also rules over the small "duchy" of Stormrock, whereby the duke and the academy head are always the same person. The current head of the academy is Andalon "The Grey" Weiherwächter, who has been in office and honour for a whole 675 years. He seems to dislike politics, as well as any other public appearance. He has not been seen outside the Academy for more than 121 years, but he is always represented on important occasions by his official deputy, Magister of Magical Arts, Sir Alfred Kohlenbrecht.
That Andalon Weiherwächter is still alive and holds the reins of the Academy in a firm hand, however, is reported by all visitors to the Stormrock Academy. The best proof, however, is Andalon Weiherwächter's homunculus Gregor, who fetches fresh cakes for his master from the Weizmann bakery every day and is said to play White and Black Towers with his master every day at coffee time.
